GAYA

Gerakan mendorong atau menarik yang menyebabkan benda bergerak disebut gaya. Gaya yang dikerjakan pada suatu benda akan mempengaruhi benda tersebut. Gaya terhadap suatu benda dapat mengakibatkan benda bergerak, berubah bentuk, dan berubah arah.

Macam-Macam Gaya:

1. Gaya Magnet

Merupakan tarikan atau dorongan yang disebabkan oleh magnet. Benda yang dapat ditarik oleh magnet disebut benda bersifat Magnetis, contoh : logam besi dan baja, peniti, paku payung. Benda yang tidak dapat ditarik magnet disebut benda yang tidak magnetis, contoh : kayu, cermin, batu, kertas. Gaya magnet digunakan pada dinamo mobil, dinamo sepeda, pengunci kotak pensil dan tas, kopas speaker radio, mikrofon, antena pada mobil remot kontrol, alarm pengaman mobil.

PASSIVE VOICE

Passive Voice adalah kalimat yang dikenai pekerjaan. Bentuk / pola umum untuk membuat kalimat passive voice adalah :

Passive voice dapat digunakan pada semua tenses, seperti contoh di bawah ini:

Simple Past Tense	–          The door was opened –          The cars were repaired –          I was lied
Simple future Tense	–          The door will be opened –          The cars will be repaired
Present Continous Tense	–          The door is being opened –          The cars are being repaired –          I am being lied
Past Continous Tense	–          The door was being opened –          The cars are being repaired –          I was being lied

MODAL

Modal adalah bagian dari auxilary yang berfungsi sebagai kata kerja bantu yang memberi arti tambahan pada suatu kalimat. Modal selalu diikuti kata kerja bentuk pertama (V₁).

Kind of Modals	Meaning	Example
Can	Dapat, bisa	–    I can carry this box by myself. –    Can I borrow your book? –    You can take my car today.
Could	Dapat, bisa, mungkin	–    It could be rain (mungkin) –    It could be rid of if you don’t fasten it (dapat)
May / Might	Mungkin (tidak yakin)	–    He might have been very busy. –    Ramina may be able to help you.
Should	Harus (untuk saran)	–    Henry should study tonight if he wants to get a good mark. –    Karina should go on diet
	Harapan	–    My check should arrive next week. –    It should be a better day
Must	Harus (mengharuskan untuk terjadi/mutlak).	–    George must call the doctor now, his condition is getting worse. –    An automobile must have gasoline to run
	Kesimpulan logis	–    John’s light is off. He must be asleep. –    The grass is wet. It must be raining.

Opinion

1. Asking for someone’s opinion

2. Giving opinion

• I think it’s a good idea.
• Well, I must say …..
• Don’t you think ….?
• I’d say …..

3. Saying no opinion

• I don’t know
• I have no idea about it

Example:

A : “What do you think to go swimming next Sunday?”

B : “I think it’s a good idea!”

C : “Well, I don’t know, I’ll go with you or not”

Like and Dislike

1.Like

2. Dislike

• (i’m afraid) I don’t like …
